Hello! My name is Jennifer. I also go by Jenn. I am an illustrative artist specializing in Neotraditional / Traditional style tattoos. I'm based out of Cleveland, Ohio tattooing at Ohio City Tattoo.
Drawing is something I've been doing since as long as I can remember. But around the age 11 I began taking my art more seriously. Around that time I also first discovered digital art. I remember thinking that it was the coolest thing.. art that was drawn on the computer? That felt so new at the time, and I was inspired by what could be made this way. I started off making some art in Microsoft Paint with just a keyboard mouse, and over the years I discovered more drawing applications, learning what I could about them through YouTube videos. I spent a lot of my younger years figuring out digital art but soon realized that I didn't have nearly as much tangible art. I began focusing on creating more traditional art around age 17. I explored many various mediums from paint to colored pencil, to drawing on wood, and I still love to push the limits and find new mediums of art to dive into. But today, hands down, my favorite medium of creating art is tattooing.
The art of tattooing peaked my interest when I began collecting tattoos myself. There’s nothing like the feeling of leaving the shop wearing a new piece of artwork, being excited to display and carry it with you forever. The idea of giving someone a piece of my own artwork that they could (literally) wear on their sleeve, excited me to no end. With a heavy interest in traditional tattoos, I fell in love with the style and the culture that revolved around it. I quickly realized that tattooing was what I wanted to pursue in my life.
I began my tattoo apprenticeship in 2019. I feel very grateful to be able to dedicate my life towards something that I love to do - being able to create. Art has been a passion of mine for many years now, and will continue to be. I strive to learn new techniques within my craft and develop myself further as an artist each day.
Thank you for taking the time to read a bit about me.
I hope to work together with you soon!
